Our Staff
Suffern Library’s staff has years of experience and expertise in Library Science and customer service. Our librarians are here to help you with all of your research needs and homework help. We love to read and talk about books, so go ahead and ask us for book and movie recommendations.
Administration

You’ll find other staff members behind the scenes managing the building, the finances, human resources, department heads and more.
Circulation
The circulation department consists of the people you see working at the check out desk, as well as those that put the books back on the shelves. Most of our “circ” staff are avid readers. Next time you are checking out an item, ask us what we are reading.

Librarians
Our Adult Services department is comprised of four full-time librarians and many part-time librarians. Many of them have a specialty such as Young Adult Services, Local History, Technology, and more. They are here to answer your questions and help you with your research. If you need in-depth research, feel free to call and make an appointment.

Children's staff
Our Children’s Room is a busy place with storytime sessions, crafts, music and fun. There’s always something exciting going on in the Children’s Room. Our staff consists of Miss Jennifer and Miss Amy, as well as other part-time employees.

Community Services
Our Community Services Department handles events and programs for adults, as well as marketing and social media. This department also manages the use of the meeting rooms, as well as the art exhibits. Feel free to contact us if you would like to request a staff member visit your organization to talk about library services, provide technology instruction, and take library card applications.
